3rd Annual Bengal Fun Run

Congratulations on a successful 2019 Bengal Fun Run! Our kids had a blast and we raised $25,000 for West Bay!  It would not have happened without the participation and support of so many of you and your loved ones.  If you still have pledges to give, our fun run pledge site will remain open until next Thursday.

Since we surpassed our goal of raising $20,000 by over $2,000, Mr. Scholten will dress as a superhero on Monday!  Thank you for being superheroes for our school!  Also, we will have an all school PJ day on Wednesday, September 18th for meeting our goal!

Here are the top earners.  If you didn’t pick up your prize at the fall social, it will be coming home with your child today.

Top Overall Fundraiser: Barrett Snodgrass

Second Overall Fundraiser: Harrison Cole

Third Overall Fundraiser: Yano Basso

The Most Donors Overall: Sarah Goodwin

Our Top Earners for their grade were: Finnleigh Jensen, Barrett Snodgrass, Harrison Cole, Cora Heinz, Yano Basso, Taylor Brumbaugh, and Ayla Peterson.  K-5 winners are invited to a breakfast bash with the principal and all have a prize coming home with them today (if you didn’t get it at the fall social).

Congratulate Mrs. Limongi’s Class on being the class that raised the most money- $82 per lap total!  They will get a class snack and Mrs. Limongi will get a jeans day.

The Top Grade was 1st Grade with over $8,000 pledged!  They can look forward to an extra recess.

We owe a special thank you to our Fun Run Committee who took on the responsibilities of producing a positive, fun, and successful fundraiser for West Bay.  Jenny Boll (Chair), Nicole Schlueter (Co-Chair), Amy Swartz, Missy Rowan, Erin Johnson, and Kelly Hatfield we appreciate you all!  Thank you to all the other volunteers that helped during the run!  Congrats West Bay on a great fundraiser!

Aloha! Bengal Luau 2019

West Bay enjoyed a fantastic evening Hawaiian style at the Bengal Luau last night!  Tons of fun was had by all in attendance.  This is due largely in part by our numerous volunteers!

A huge shout out to all of the West Bay Teachers & Staff!  This event functions largely because of YOU!  We appreciate that you work a full day teaching our children, then turn around and sacrifice time away from your own families the evening of the luau so that West Bay families can enjoy a night out with each other.  As a small thank you for your efforts at the fun run and luau, the PTO will be providing a Bagel and Juice Breakfast (gluten free options available) for all teachers and staff Monday morningin the teacher’s lounge.  Please help us show our continued appreciation by thanking your teachers in person next time you see them!

Additionally, we want to thank our numerous parent volunteers that manned stations and helped with set-up and clean-up as well as Danisha Hurst (Chair).  We also thank our corporate sponsors for contributing to this event and the fun run.
